The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, based in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's activities rest on four pillars – development, education, workshop, and war unit production. For the Armed Forces to operate, they need functioning equipment, and FMTS plays an important role in this.

FMTS has a functional responsibility for the technical service within the Armed Forces, which includes following technological developments to anticipate future needs and also to propose changes and improvements.

There are exciting development opportunities for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical service across all branches of defense. In addition, soldiers are trained in logistics.

FMTS operates throughout Sweden, from Revingehed in the south to Boden in the north. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both in big and small ways, both at home and around the world.

The Swedish Armed Forces have a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good conditions for internal career mobility, wellness, and a good balance between work and private life.

The Armed Forces harness the qualities that diversity and gender balance bring to the organization. We therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences in our recruitments. Employment with us involves placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment also includes an obligation to be placed in a war situation. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the extent of this varies depending on the type of position.

To apply for employment, a CV and cover letter must be attached. If you proceed in the employment process, certified copies of grades and certificates must always be presented.
